Goods Short-Shipped (Duties Payable on the Freight Charges)

Where applicable, the freight charges may become payable on goods which were short-shipped from a previous shipment. This scenario requires the use of the National Procedure Code (NPC) 4096 114 on the line items identified as being short-shipped. The SAD's Valuation Note General Segment should be completed according to the following:
  1. Invoice Value - Insert the total Invoice Value into this field
  2. External Freight - Insert the Total Freight Charges (paid) obtained from the Bill Of Lading into this field. (This value will be used by ASYCUDA to apply the duties and taxes payable)
  3. Insurance  - Where applicable, insert the Total Insurance Charges (paid) obtained from the Bill Of Lading into this field. (This value will be used by ASYCUDA to apply the duties and taxes payable)
  4. Complete the Valuation Note Items Segment as required and any other additional information required for your declaration.
The SAD can now be verified for accuracy then assessed. The system will apply the taxes payable on the freight and insurance amounts declared against the items identified with NPC 4096 114 automatically.
